Lebanon is a country of immense beauty and temporal complexity, forced to continuously rebuild while plagued by the colonial ambitions of its neighbors. In March 2026, I was in Beirut photographing the city. But due to the unfortunate timing of my visit, I was forced to leave when the U.S.-Israel-Iran war broke out. As such, this photo series is incomplete. It is an unfinished attempt to explore the beauty and layered contradictions of a country that has entranced me from afar for a decade. I hope to one day exhibit a more complete series at a time of prolonged peace and stability in Lebanon, with a true ceasefire.
